So, I briefly mentioned this product in one of my recent posts : A Simple Skincare Routine but I just wanted to give it all the attention for a moment, because it is just so wonderful. I’ve always been scared of moisturisers. I used to think that if I moisturised it would make me break out. I thought because I had very oily acne prone skin, all it would do is clog me up more and makes matters worse. This was all before I actually knew my skin type. Most of us will jump to the obvious ones …Oily or Dry. However, there a skin type which is always over looked, and extremely common, and that is Dehydrated. Honestly, this discovery changed the whole approach I had towards my skin, and for the best. When skin is dehydrated, it creates more oil to make up for the missing water. This can cause breakouts, irritation and dry patches. Skin can even feel oily and dry at the same time…absolute story of my life. On discovering this, i began to understand hydrating cremes. Usually this sort have a more gel like or balmy consistency rather than that thick buttery, creamy consistency. Like anything, moisturisers are trial and error, and after a long time this has become my favourite! It works a treat, smells delish and its 100% vegan and vegetarian…even better!!
How to use
Can be used on all skin types, but perfectly for instantly hydrating! Appropriately prepare your skin for moisturiser and then apply to clean, dry skin, in a light, upwards, circular motion morning and evening after your other skincare steps ( see here ).

☆☆☆☆☆ Ideal for sensitive acne prone skin
My combination/ sensitive skin can’t take any heavy cream as I break out in just a day! But frankincense hydrating didn’t break me at all. In fact my skin becomes so beautifully moisturized and also it’s ideal under the make up base.

bought a set of the Frankincense Facial products including the moisturizer, the toner and the facial cleansing cream. It is calming on the senses and soothing on the skin. I have had good looking skin throughout the trying winter months , my only qualm is that the moisturizer tends to take a while to absorb , so if you’re in a rush to go straight onto makeup , you may want to consider using a lighter, faster absorbing formula.

This cream has annoyed me. Why did it have to take 42 years to discover it existed? It is only the second cream I have found that actually improves my severely dehydrated skin (the other one left me shiny and gave me blemishes), it feels lovely and I can see a difference in the texture. I am limited to cruelty free products which has been made much harder lately (due to Chinese laws) so I am delighted to have found this product. The cream is not described on the website as being for dehydrated skin so based on the website alone I wouldn’t have tried it as I wouldn’t have expected a cream for “all skin types” to be any good for me – I Googled for suitable creams and found this based on user reviews.
