Well, what can I say. Git Git Waterfall has got to be up there as one of my favourite things to do in Bali. Located about a 35 minute drive from Lovina, or a 2 hour drive from Ubud, situated high up in the mountains and surrounded by the most stunning scenery, Git Git Waterfall is definitely a rising spot for tourism. Be sure to visit this on the way to or back from Lovina or Ubud as sometimes drivers will make you feel like you need a day trip to visit this waterfall when you don’t, you can do it on route!

To get there, its only a short 15 minute walk up through a gorgeous little village ( if you visit the highest point) just off a small parking area on the main road, or down via  paved steps all the way ( it’s completely family friendly). Try if possible to dodge the guides in the parking, unless you are interested in a guided tour and giving a fee over at the end! At the base of the waterfall there are a few facilities however at the top there are none so be prepared to change at the bottom if you are walking up! There are no lockers though, so be sure to keep an eye on your belongings.

You can swim right up to the intensity of the falls at the bottom, or just chill out in the pools at the bottom of the rocks! At the top there is the most amazing blue lagoon with a rope swing you can play on,  which is definitely worth the walk up!!
